According to the Meteorological Department, rain or snowfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till January 2. Cold wave is also expected at many places in Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, moderate rain may also occur in Punjab, Haryana and Western Rajasthan.

The Meteorological Department has said that there will be very dense fog in the morning and evening in some parts of Punjab, Haryana and Western UP. In the new year, dense fog may be seen in many areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog will also occur in Delhi, Bihar, Himalayan areas of West Bengal, Ganga coastal areas of West Bengal, Jharkhand and Sikkim. According to the Meteorological Department, people will have to face cold wave in Western UP, Eastern UP, Uttarakhand and Bihar.

After this, it will again drop by two to three degrees. The Meteorological Department estimates that the minimum temperature in Central and Eastern India will also increase by two to three degrees. Whereas, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of minimum temperature increasing by five degrees in Jharkhand. The weather department had already predicted that there will be severe cold this year. According to this prediction, the cold in December is wreaking havoc on people. It is expected that there will be severe cold in January also. A reduction in cold may be seen from the third week of February. The special thing is that this time there has been no rain so far in the cold season.
