BJP MLA from Faridpur, UP, Shyam Bihari Lal passed away after suffering heart attack during a meeting at Circuit House.

New Delhi. BJP MLA from Faridpur assembly constituency under Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal died of heart attack today. A meeting of State Livestock Minister Dharampal Singh was being held at the Circuit House in Bareilly, during which the MLA’s health suddenly deteriorated. He experienced unbearable severe pain in his chest, after which he was taken to Medicity Hospital. Doctors gave him CPR but he could not be saved and he died. Shyam Bihari Lal had celebrated his birthday a day earlier.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also expressed condolences. Yogi Adityanath has written in his condolence message, the sudden demise of MLA Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal is extremely sad. My condolences are with the bereaved family. It is a prayer to Lord Shri Ram to grant the departed saint a place at his feet and the bereaved family members the strength to bear this immense sorrow. His supporters are saddened by the demise of the MLA. Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal was known as a very simple, gentle leader. He was elected MLA from Faridpur assembly seat for the second consecutive time. In 2017, he became MLA for the first time.

Apart from being a politician, he was also recognized as an educationist. Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal had served as Professor in Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University. Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal is survived by his wife Manjulata, two daughters and a son. One of his daughters is posted in Bareilly on the post of Defense Estate Officer. Along with BJP leaders, people associated with the education world are also mourning the demise of Dr. Shyam Bihari. All the big BJP leaders of the district are continuously visiting their homes and consoling the grieving family members.
