He said that unfortunately even today the forces opposing the development of Somnath temple are present and active. PM Modi said that today conspiracies against India have replaced swords. He called upon people to be more aware of such forces. PM Modi said that we have to strengthen ourselves and remain united. In the public meeting of Somnath Swabhiman Parv, PM Modi said that we have to defeat every force which tries to divide us. He said that the journey of the last 1000 years will inspire us to be prepared for the next 1000 years.

In his address, PM Modi also recalled the repeated attacks on Somnath temple at the hands of religious fundamentalists. PM Modi said that the religious invaders thought that we had won, but those who attacked the Somnath temple like Mahmud Ghaznavi and Aurangzeb are today confined to a few pages of history. Whereas, the religious flag fluttering on Somnath is telling the world the strength of India. PM Modi earlier worshiped at the Somnath temple and also participated in the Shaurya Yatra, playing the damru along with 108 horsemen. The first attack on Somnath temple was done by Mahmud Ghaznavi in ​​the year 1026. 1000 years have now been completed since that incident.
