Moradabad. First, Madhya Pradesh Congress MLA Phool Singh Baraiya gave a controversial statement on rape. Now Samajwadi Party leader in UP and former Moradabad MP ST Hasan has also come under target in the rape case. ST Hasan said that he feels that internet is a major reason behind rape. The Samajwadi Party leader said that obscenity on the internet increases the hormone called testosterone in the youth. Because of which they are unable to control their sexual desire. Then whenever a woman or girl comes near them, she gets raped. He also cited alcohol as the reason behind this. Listen to what else the Samajwadi Party leader said.

When ST Hasan’s statement on rape came, BJP targeted Samajwadi Party and Congress. BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said that Samajwadi Party leader ST Hasan has supported Congress leader Phool Singh Baraiya with his statement justifying rape. BJP spokesperson said that by not suspending ST Hasan and Phool Singh Baraiya from the party, Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi have made it clear that both promote such leaders. BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari alleged that Congress and Samajwadi Party have become parties that protect rapists. Which is a shame.

As soon as ST Hasan was accused of blaming the internet for rape, he apologized while talking to a news channel. Before ST Hasan, Congress MLA from Madhya Pradesh Phool Singh Baraiya had created controversy by giving a statement on rape. Phool Singh Baraiya had taken the name of a religious text and claimed that it is written in it that if women and girls from Dalits, tribals and backward classes are raped then one gets the virtue of taking a bath in Kashi. Baraiya had said that because of this, women and girls of these communities are raped. When the media questioned him on this, Baraiya maintained silence.
