Breach of Privilege Notice Against Rahul Gandhi: Government will give notice of breach of privilege against Rahul Gandhi, Kiren Rijiju accused of misleading the House and giving baseless statement.

New Delhi. The political tug of war continues between BJP and Congress. Now in this political tug of war, the government is going to give a notice of breach of privilege against Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju gave this information in the press conference on Wednesday. He accused Rahul Gandhi of misleading the House and making baseless statements.

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that there are clear rules regarding the conduct of proceedings and conduct of both the Houses of Parliament. If any MP wants to make serious allegations against another member, he has to first give notice under the rules and bring a concrete proposal. Kiren Rijiju said that it is the responsibility of all MPs to maintain the dignity of the House. The rules cannot be ignored. Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi, Rijiju said that making allegations without prior information and proof is against the tradition of Parliament. The Union Minister said that in the Lok Sabha, he himself had requested Rahul Gandhi to present necessary evidence and authentic documents in support of his issues and allegations.

Kiren Rijiju said that in democracy there is freedom to make allegations, but there is also accountability. He said that it is also important to follow the procedures. He said that the government will take further action under the rules of Parliament. In fact, Rahul Gandhi had recently wanted to quote an excerpt from General Manoj Naravane’s unpublished book ‘Four Stars of Destiny’ published in a magazine to corner PM Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha. Whereas, the book has not been published and its excerpts given in the magazine cannot be given as evidence as they are not authentic. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah had objected to this. After which Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla told Rahul Gandhi that he could not read this excerpt. After that, Rahul Gandhi showed General Naravane’s book to everyone in the Parliament complex and said that he will give it to PM Modi.
