Maharashtra ATS Raid: Maharashtra ATS raided 21 places and recovered swords and objectionable documents, interrogated so many suspects in terrorist activities.

Mumbai After receiving intelligence about terrorist activities, Maharashtra ATS raided 21 places in Ahilyanagar and Yavatmal districts late on Saturday night. Maharashtra ATS has detained many suspects during raids at these locations. Quoting sources, the media has reported that Maharashtra ATS had received intelligence that terrorist organizations are trying to contact the youth and take them along. According to intelligence, terrorist organizations tried to contact the youth in Ahilyanagar and Yavatmal districts.

On receiving information about terrorist activity, Maharashtra ATS officers decided to take immediate action and started the operation at midnight on Saturday. Under this action, Maharashtra ATS conducted simultaneous raids at the places identified in intelligence in both the districts. Sources have told the media that Maharashtra ATS conducted operations at 7 places in Ahilyanagar and 14 places in Umarred and Pusad of Yavatmal district. During this time, Maharashtra ATS also took help from the police of both the districts. Maharashtra ATS has recovered swords, mobile phones and other electronic devices, CCTV footage and incriminating documents from the hideouts.

Maharashtra ATS has detained 12 suspects during the raid. All of them are being interrogated. Maharashtra ATS had earlier arrested many people in connection with terrorist activities from different districts of the state. Maharashtra ATS has been very vigilant since the 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai. Due to fundamentalist and terrorist activities in the neighboring state of Karnataka, Maharashtra is also very cautious. Let us tell you that there have been many terrorist attacks in Mumbai. In which hundreds of people have lost their lives. Among these, the terrorist attack of 26/11 has been the biggest. There have also been bomb blasts in Malegaon, Maharashtra.
