New Delhi. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today provided compensation of Rs 285 crore to 2.51 lakh Annadata farmers of the state under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme (Kharif-2025). Apart from this, under the Chief Minister Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme, assistance amounting to Rs 175 crore was distributed to 3,500 families and life insurance benefits to Aapda Mitras. On this occasion, CM Yogi also laid the foundation stone of agricultural buildings and soil testing laboratories in various districts. The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi, the double engine government of BJP is working with commitment for the prosperity of ‘New Uttar Pradesh’ through advanced farming.

Yogi Adityanath said that whenever any disaster occurs, we try to ensure that the money reaches the victim’s account within 24 hours. He said that earlier when a disaster occurred, no one would inquire about the condition of the victim for years, leave alone the question of compensation. Even if an attempt was made to give it to someone, I was watching, once in 2015-16, someone was given Rs 2, someone Rs 4 in the farmer’s account. Today you must be seeing that the government changed and we started taking immediate action. Be it flood or lightning, fire incident or any other type of such disaster, in 2025-26 we allocated Rs 876 crore in the State Disaster Response Fund.

Yogi said that earlier only the farmer was covered under the Chief Minister Farmer Accident Insurance, farmer family members and sharecroppers were not covered. When our government was formed, we said that we will cover everyone under the Chief Minister Farmer Accident Insurance. Along with this, Yogi instructed the District Magistrates of all the districts of the state that the money should reach the accounts of all the dependent families or farmers by today or tomorrow.
