New Delhi. The final voter list has been released after intensive review (SIR) of voters in five states and four union territories. According to the Election Commission, after the release of the final voter list, more than 1.70 crore voters have been reduced in these five states and four union territories. As of now, the final voter list has not been released after SIR in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and UP. Voters of all these places can check by entering the EPIC number on the Election Commission website eci.gov.in and ECINET app. The BLOs working in all these states and union territories also have the final voter list. Name can also be checked by contacting them.

According to the information given by the Election Commission, before the start of SIR in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Kerala, Puducherry, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar, the number of voters was 21.45 crore. The number of voters in the final voter list has reduced to around 19.75 crores. Names of 68.12 lakh voters have been deleted in Gujarat. Due to this, the number of voters here has reduced to 4.40 crore. Before SIR, there were 5.08 crore voters in Gujarat. According to the Election Commission, names of 34.25 lakh voters have been deleted in Madhya Pradesh. The number of voters here was 5.74 crore and now it has increased to 5.39 crore.

According to Election Commission data, names of 31.36 lakh voters have been deleted in Rajasthan. During SIR, names of 24.99 lakh voters in Chhattisgarh and 8.97 lakh voters in Kerala were deleted. Names of 1.27 lakh voters are missing in the final voter list released after SIR in Goa. The number of voters has also decreased in the Union Territories of Puducherry, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar. The Election Commission is now going to conduct SIR in the remaining states in April. For this, instructions have been given to the Chief Electoral Officers of all these states to prepare. In such a situation, SIR is expected to be completed in all the states by the end of this year. Controversy related to SIR is taking place in West Bengal. Where the ruling TMC has accused the Election Commission of deleting the names of eligible voters. In such a situation, the Supreme Court has given the responsibility for West Bengal SIR to the judicial officers of the district judge level.
