What ASI Report Says On Bhojshala: ASI filed the survey report of Bhojshala in Madhya Pradesh High Court, which became the cause of dispute between Hindus and Muslims, know what was found out?
Indore. Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has given the survey report of Bhojshala located in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh to the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The High Court has given this report to Hindu and Muslim parties and sought claims and objections within two weeks. The ASI report states that Bhojshala was built in the 12th century. The report says that Kamal Maula Masjid near Bhojshala was built in the year 1265. In the report, ASI has said that parts of ancient temples have been used in Kamal Maula Masjid. ASI has said that carvings, statues of gods and goddesses and other figures have been found on many pillars. Inscriptions in Sanskrit and Prakrit languages are also here. Let us tell you that the Hindu side calls Bhojshala the temple of Mata Saraswati and the Muslim side calls Kamal Maula Masjid.
The ASI report states that the language inscriptions found in Bhojshala are from the 12th to 16th century. These also include plays named Parijatmanjari, Avnikurmashtam and Nagabandh. Which have been tested. ASI report says that Parijatmanjari and Vijayashree were found in the huge archive. These were composed by Kriti Madan, the guru of King Arjunavarman of Dhar. Arjunavarman is considered to be a descendant of the Parmar dynasty and King Bhoj. The first staging of this play took place in the Bhojshala which was built as a temple of Mata Saraswati at that time. A large inscription of two poems in Prakrit language was found. In which, in the conclusion of Avanikurmashtam, it has been dedicated to Maharaj Parmeshwar Bhojdev. There is no epilogue at the end of the second verse. It is said that it was also composed by Raja Bhoj.

ASI’s survey report on Bhojshala says that these inscriptions are an indication of a learning center which is believed to have been established by Raja Bhoj. An inscription mentions King Naravarman of the Paramara dynasty. Who ruled from the year 1094 to 1133. ASI has said that there is an ancient base beneath the existing Bhojshala complex. He has also told that evidence of chiselling has been found on the idols of gods and goddesses found here. Madhya Pradesh High Court had ordered ASI to survey the Bhojshala in March 2024. ASI surveyed Bhojshala for 98 days. Many places were dug for this. Ground penetrating radar was also used. ASI report is very important in the Bhojshala controversy. After the reply is filed by the Hindu and Muslim sides, the hearing on Bhojshala in Madhya Pradesh High Court is going to be very important.
