Allahabad High Court On Neja Mela Of Sambhal: The committee organizing Neja Mela in Sambhal got a blow from Allahabad High Court, rejected the petition and asked to go to the lower court.

Prayagraj. The administration had banned the Neza fair to be held in Sambhal, UP. Neza Mela Committee had approached Allahabad High Court for relief. A bench of two judges in Allahabad High Court has rejected the petition of Neza Mela Committee of Sambhal. Allahabad High Court refused to give relief on the petition of Neza Mela Committee and said that only the lower court will hear it. The rejection of the petition by the double bench of Allahabad High Court is a big blow for the Neza Mela Committee.

Due to the rejection of the petition by the double bench of Allahabad High Court, it does not seem possible to hold Neza Mela in Sambhal this year also. Fearing that the law and order situation in Sambhal would worsen due to the Neza fair, the administration had banned it. Neza fair was held in Sambhal for three days. Neza fair of Sambhal was organized in the memory of Syed Salar Masood Ghazi, who was called the invader. Earlier, the administration of Sambhal had refused to give permission to organize Nezha Fair last year. After the violence that took place in Sambhal, the district administration has taken strict action against any such activity which may worsen the law and order situation.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath had also described Salar Masood Ghazi in Bahraich as an invader of the 11th century. Yogi had said that Salar Masood Ghazi looted temples. CM Yogi had said that the fairs organized in the name of Salar Masood Ghazi are a symbol of slavery. He had said that instead of Ghazi, Maharaja Suheldev, who defeated him, should be honored. The grave of Salar Masood Ghazi is in Bahraich, UP. Whereas, Neza fair has been organized in Sambhal in his name. Let us tell you that there was violence in Sambhal on 24 November 2024. In which the miscreants attacked the police. During that time, the Court Commissioner survey of the disputed Shahi Jama Masjid was being conducted. Four people lost their lives in the firing by the miscreants. In the Sambhal violence case, the police had arrested all the miscreants and sent them to jail.
