IAS Secretary Commits Suicide: IAS Secretary committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of Haryana Secretariat, had also attempted suicide 15 days ago.
New Delhi. There was an atmosphere of chaos in the Haryana Secretariat in Chandigarh today when a person committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor. Deceased Ganesh Das Arora was posted as Special Senior Secretary to IAS officer Hitesh Kumar Meena. No suicide note has been found from the deceased. Ganesh Das Arora was going to retire from the job in October this year. A shocking information has been received about him that he had tried to jump from the building about 15 days ago, but his colleagues had caught him in time.
After the incident of Ganesh Das Arora committing suicide in this manner, the question is being raised that why did he do this? The police is investigating the matter and is gathering information on the basis of questioning the secretariat staff. According to media reports, there is a discussion in the secretariat that Ganesh Das Arora’s department was changed some time ago and due to this he was living in tension. There is a possibility that perhaps due to this stress he ended his life.

According to eyewitnesses, Ganesh Arora was sitting in his office doing his normal work as usual, when suddenly he got up from his chair and went to the balcony of the sixth floor of the Secretariat. Before the security personnel present there could understand anything, they jumped down. He suffered serious head injury and died on the spot. The deceased’s wife Uma Arora also works in a government job and is currently posted in Haryana Raj Bhavan. The family members have been informed about the incident and the body of the deceased has been sent to the mortuary for post-mortem.
