Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed regret over the controversy over the chapter on ‘Corruption in Judiciary’ in NCERT’s Class 8 book and said that action will be taken against those related to NCERT who are involved in it and care will also be taken to ensure that such a situation does not happen again in future. He said that what was mentioned about the justice system in the book is extremely worrying. We immediately issued an order to recall all the books. On the strict comment of the Supreme Court in this matter today, he said that this is universally accepted for us, the government is responsible towards it.
