Dhankhar, who had come to attend a private program in Churu district of Rajasthan, spoke openly for the first time regarding his resignation from the post of Vice President. Dhankhar said, it is said that the first happiness is a healthy body, I have never been careless towards health. When I said that I was resigning, I never said that I was ill. I said that I am giving importance to health and should also give it, it is also written in our scriptures.

He had talked about leaving the post citing health reasons. However, after his resignation, he neither issued any statement nor talked to the journalists.
