Rebel MLAs target Akhilesh Yadav: Rebel MLAs of SP targeted Akhilesh Yadav, said – spreading confusion about returning to the party…will break even more

Lucknow. Recently, discussions had gained momentum in UP that the rebel MLAs of Samajwadi Party (SP) may return to the party. Now two of these rebel MLAs say that SP President Akhilesh Yadav is spreading confusion. These rebel MLAs say that no one is going to join SP. Rakesh Pratap Singh, MLA from Gauriganj seat of UP, told the media that the national president of SP and his party people are spreading various kinds of misconceptions. Rakesh Pratap Singh also claimed that after some time many more SP MLAs will also break and join him, because they are troubled by the internal politics in the party.

SP’s rebel MLA from Gosaiganj seat Abhay Singh has said through social media that some people are spreading confusion. Abhay Singh expressed the need to be cautious of such people. He has said that no speculation should be made on his return to SP. Rebel SP MLA Abhay Singh has said that none of the other MLAs expelled from SP along with him want to return to the party. The rebel MLA has said that we have found Lord Shri Ram and there is no need of Maya. Apart from Rakesh Pratap Singh and Abhay Singh, MLA Manoj Kumar Pandey was expelled from SP in 2025. However, Akhilesh Yadav did not take action against four more MLAs.

In fact, during the Rajya Sabha elections in the year 2024, BJP had fielded eight candidates in UP and all of them had won. Whereas, BJP had such numbers that only seven of its candidates could win. SP had then fielded three candidates. Seven SP MLAs had cross-voted and due to this the third SP candidate was defeated. After this, SP had expelled Manoj Kumar Pandey, Rakesh Pratap Singh and Abhay Singh. At the same time, four other MLAs Rakesh Pandey, Vinod Chaturvedi, Pooja Pal and Ashutosh Maurya were not expelled. Later, SP also expelled Pooja Pal from the party on the issue of Don Atiq Ahmed.
