New Delhi. In Odisha, a 23-year-old girl was raped by two different people on the same day and took her life to hide the secret. The police have arrested the girl’s lover and a passerby who brutally murdered the girl on the pretext of helping her. This incident happened on 22 February in Jagatsinghpur district. According to the police, the girl ran away from home at 10 am on February 22 with plans to marry her lover Somnath Ojha. Her lover Somnath had called her to Sarala temple in Jagatsinghpur. When the girl reached the temple, the lover took her to a secluded place and raped her. Rahma then ran away leaving the victim at the bus stand.

The victim girl sat scared and scared at the bus stand for a long time, waiting for her lover Somnath. Meanwhile, a young man riding a bike, Shubham Kumar Singh reached there. Shubham is a resident of Jharkhand. Seeing the girl distressed, she offered help. He assured the girl that he would take her to a safe place. The girl got influenced by Shubham’s words and went away from there sitting in the motorcycle with him. Shubham took the girl to his rented house in Paradeep. Taking there, Shubham forcibly raped the girl. After this, fearing to escape from the police, he pushed the girl down from four floors. The girl died in this incident. The police found the girl’s body the next day after the incident.

When the girl did not reach her home till the evening of 22 February, her brother lodged a missing report of his sister at Tiratol police station on 23 February. After the body of the girl was found on February 23, the police registered a case of unnatural death. After this, on February 25, the brother of the deceased gave a written complaint to the police station, in which he accused his sister of rape and murder. Then the police started investigating the case and arrested both the accused. The police are investigating the matter thoroughly.
