In Sambhal, 10 mosques including Shahi Jama Masjid, which became the center of controversy, have been covered with tarpaulin to protect them from the colors of Holi. The Hindu community claims that where the Shahi Jama Masjid is located in Sambhal, earlier there used to be a temple of Lord Kalki. Which was demolished during the reign of Mughal emperor Babar and a mosque was built. Court Commissioner survey of Sambhal mosque has been done. At present the issue of Shahi Jama Masjid of Sambhal is under consideration of the court. Now celebrating Holi festival here on a large scale will also change the image of the city.
