Patna. Elections are to be held on 5 Rajya Sabha seats from Bihar. Out of these, the victory of the ruling NDA is certain on 4 seats. Of these, BJP has fielded candidates on 2 Rajya Sabha seats and JDU has fielded candidates on 2 seats. Whereas, on the fifth seat, NDA has made RLM President Upendra Kushwaha its candidate. The opposition grand alliance is preparing to field RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav on this fifth Rajya Sabha seat from Bihar, but Upendra Kushwaha has made a big claim about Tejashwi’s victory. Upendra Kushwaha has said that if RJD fields Tejashwi Yadav, they will have to face defeat.

From the confidence with which Upendra Kushwaha has claimed to defeat the opposition on the fifth seat in the Rajya Sabha elections, it seems that the ruling NDA has prepared some calculations to win this seat. Because Upendra Kushwaha, along with claiming to win the fifth Rajya Sabha seat from Bihar, has also said that many MLAs of the Grand Alliance are in touch with the NDA. Upendra Kushwaha said that everything is decided mutually in the alliance. On the basis of which different people have been made candidates for Rajya Sabha elections. He has thanked PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, CM Nitish Kumar, BJP National President Nitin Nabin for making him a candidate.

With Upendra Kushwaha’s claim of his victory in the Rajya Sabha elections and the defeat of the opposition candidate, it is certain that there is going to be a fierce fight for this fifth seat in Bihar. The ruling NDA has 202 MLAs in Bihar. Whereas, there are 41 MLAs from other parties including 25 from RJD. For every Rajya Sabha seat in Bihar, 41 votes will have to be secured. Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM has 5 MLAs in Bihar. There has been a figure of thirty-six in Owaisi and the grand alliance. Because of this also, the Grand Alliance candidate is going to face great difficulties.
