Patna. Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar CM and JDU President Nitish Kumar, finally entered the political arena on Sunday. Nishant Kumar took membership of the party at JDU office in Patna. On the occasion of Nishant Kumar joining JDU, senior leaders including party working president Sanjay Jha and Union Minister and close to Nitish Lalan Singh were present. Nishant’s father Nitish did not attend this program. On Nishant joining JDU, the party has given the slogan of ‘Young thinking, strong resolve’. Earlier on Saturday, Nishant Kumar had met with party MLAs and ministers at Sanjay Jha’s residence. However, only one minister from JDU quota, Shravan Kumar, had attended this meeting.

Harinarayan Singh, close to his father Nitish, has made a big claim about Nishant Kumar. Harinarayan Singh claims that Nishant Kumar will be elected from the vacant seat of Bihar Legislative Council in April. After which Nishant Kumar will be made the Deputy CM in Bihar government. At the same time, earlier news had come that after joining JDU, Nishant Kumar will go on a tour of entire Bihar. Nishant Kumar has remained away from politics till now. During the Bihar Assembly elections, Nishant had appealed to the people of the state to form the government again under his father Nitish Kumar.
