Supreme Court On NCERT Book: Supreme Court blacklists those who wrote ‘corruption in judiciary’ in NCERT book, told what has to be done before publishing the new chapter
New Delhi. The Supreme Court has ordered to blacklist the three people who wrote the chapter ‘Corruption in Judiciary’ in the NCERT book. CJI Surya Kant’s bench in the Supreme Court on Wednesday said that now these three people should not be given any work in any government organization. The Supreme Court has asked the Center to form an experts committee comprising a former senior judge, a renowned educationist and a renowned practitioner. The Supreme Court has directed not to publish the new chapter that will be written in the NCERT book in place of this chapter until the committee of experts constituted by the Central Government approves it.
The Supreme Court has also given an opportunity to those who have written the corruption chapter in the judiciary to present their side. The court said that its orders will remain effective until these three people file their reply and appeal for change in the order. The Supreme Court bench said that it wants to state clearly at the very beginning that there is no doubt that Professors Michel Denino, Diwakar and Alok Prasanna Kumar either do not have complete knowledge about the Indian judiciary or they have deliberately misrepresented the facts in the chapter.

The Supreme Court said that the intention of these three was to create a negative image of the Indian judiciary in front of the young students of class 8th. The court said that there is no reason to involve such people in any way in the work of preparing the curriculum for the next generation or finalizing the books. Saying this, the Supreme Court directed all the state governments and government funded institutions along with the Center to remove Michel Denino, Diwakar and Alok Prasanna Kumar from their services. The Supreme Court itself had taken cognizance of this matter. The Supreme Court had directed NCERT to withdraw all the chapter books. Which has been followed.
