Araria. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is doing Pragati Yatra in Bihar before being elected Rajya Sabha MP. Nitish Kumar reached Araria on Wednesday under Pragati Yatra. Where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 68 development schemes worth about Rs 546 crore. After which Nitish Kumar fiercely targeted the reign of RJD supremo Lalu Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi in the public meeting.
Taking aim at Lalu-Rabri rule, Nitish Kumar said that no concrete work was done for women during the earlier regime. He said that people should keep in mind what was the condition of women in Bihar earlier. Nitish Kumar took a jibe at Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi without naming them and said that at that time they were in power for seven years, but no special initiative was taken for women. Nitish Kumar again said that when he stepped down from the post, he put his own daughter forward, but did not do any work for the women of Bihar. Nitish said that when my government was formed on 24 November 2005, the condition of law and order in Bihar was very bad. There was an atmosphere of crime. He said that my government took Bihar forward on the path of development by establishing the rule of law.

CM Nitish Kumar said that today there has been a lot of improvement in the fields of roads, electricity, health and education in Bihar. He said that my government took historic decisions to advance women. He talked about giving 35 percent reservation to women in government jobs in Bihar. Nitish also said that women were given more participation in Panchayats and local bodies. Women also entered administrative and other services. Nitish Kumar, along with PM Narendra Modi, had given assistance of Rs 10,000 each to the weaker section women of Bihar before the Bihar Assembly elections 2025. Apart from this, Youth Commission was also formed. Now he is going to Rajya Sabha, but Nitish Kumar has assured the people of Bihar that development work will still continue in the state and he will also keep a close watch.
