20% Additional Supply Of Commercial LPG To All States And Union Territories: 20% additional supply of commercial LPG to all states and union territories.
New Delhi. The Central Government has now taken a big decision regarding the supply of commercial LPG in the country. According to the government, an additional 20% allocation of gas for commercial use will be made to all the states and union territories. Restaurants, dhabas, hotels, dairies, industrial canteens, food processing, subsidized canteens/outlets and community kitchens run by state governments or local bodies will be given priority in the supply of gas. A letter in this regard has also been issued by Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, to the Chief Secretaries of all the states and union territories.
According to the Union Petroleum Ministry, from March 23 till further orders, additional 20 percent more commercial LPG will be supplied to the state. In this way, the government has increased the commercial LGP supply to 50 percent of the pre-crisis level. Preference will be given to 5kg FTL for restaurants, dhabas, hotels, industrial canteens, subsidized canteens and migrant labourers. Also, measures will be taken to ensure that there is no diversion. Let us tell you that the government is advising all types of LPG consumers, whether domestic or commercial, to shift to PNG.

For this, gas supply companies are also giving some offers to the consumers on taking PNG connection. For example, if any domestic consumer takes a PNG connection and starts buying gas before March 31, then Indraprastha Gas Limited will give free gas worth Rs 500. Two days ago, the government had released figures saying that in the last two weeks, about 1.25 lakh new domestic, commercial and industrial connections have been given in PNG. Apart from this, more than 5600 domestic LPG users have switched to PNG connection in three days.
