What did Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati say after getting anticipatory bail from Allahabad High Court?
New Delhi. Shankaracharya of Jyotish Peeth, Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati has been granted anticipatory bail from Allahabad High Court today on charges of sexual exploitation of minor boys. The court has also accepted the anticipatory bail plea of another accused in this case, Mukundanand Giri. Mukundananda Giri is a disciple of Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati. Earlier, after hearing the arguments of both the parties on the bail petition, on February 27, the court had reserved its decision, however, it had banned the arrest of Swami Avimukteshwaranand and Mukundanand Giri till further orders.

Responding to the court’s decision to grant anticipatory bail, Swami Avimukteshwaranand said that the court has forbidden to talk about the case, so I will talk about a principle. Sometimes it seems that the law is a net which some people have caught and they can spread it whenever they want and trap people. But when such decisions come, it reassures people that those who use the law as a trap are not always successful. This boosts people’s faith in justice and the judicial process. When asked by the journalist that the fight is still long, Avimukteshwaranand said that the number of opponents of Sanatan Dharma has increased, they are doing their work, we have to do our work.

A complaint of sexual harassment of minor children was lodged against Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his disciple Mukundanand Giri by the President of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust and Shakambhari Peethadhishwar Ashutosh Brahmachari. Taking cognizance of this, ADJ POCSO Special Court of Prayagraj had ordered to register an FIR against Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his disciple. However, Avimukteshwaranand says that all these allegations are false. He had said that lies trouble people for some time but their lifespan is not long.
