New Delhi. Eight people have died in a horrific road accident on the Prayagraj-Kanpur highway in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh. There is news of more than 20 people being injured in this incident. In front of Dorma village of Saini area, an uncontrolled pickup of a petrol pump collided with a trolley parked on the roadside. All the people traveling in the pickup had gone from Kuroli village of Jafarganj police station area of ​​Fatehpur district to Sangam in Prayagraj to get the child tonsured. An accident happened while returning. It is being told that there were about 35 people in the pickup, including 11 children.

As soon as the accident happened there was an outcry. People nearby ran towards the spot for help. As soon as information about the incident was received, police and senior administration officials reached the spot and started relief work. All the injured were sent to Sirathu CHC through ambulance. From there, after first aid, the seriously injured people were referred to the district hospital. While the bodies of the deceased are being taken for post-mortem. Children are also among the dead. It is being told that due to the pickup driver suddenly dozing off, the vehicle went out of control and collided with a trolley parked on the roadside. CO Sirathu reached the spot. Whereas SP Rajesh Kumar along with his team reached the district hospital and inquired about the well being of the injured.

In this accident, the death of Gudiya resident of Dhairikeda village, Kallo resident of Kuraut, Sukharaniya resident of Bara, Darshaniya resident of Kurbal and Rajkumari has been officially confirmed. Apart from this, the death of seven year old Dhruv and 10 year old Mayank have also been confirmed. The condition of some of the injured is serious, considering that the death toll may increase. Sirathu police has also informed Fatehpur police regarding the incident.
