AAP removes Raghav Chadha as Rajya Sabha Deputy Leader, assigns responsibility to Ashok Mittal.
New Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party has removed its MP Raghav Chadha from the post of Deputy Leader of Rajya Sabha. Not only this, in the letter sent by AAP to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, it has been said that Raghav Chadha should not be given a chance to speak in the House as the party leader. Aam Aadmi Party has now made Dr. Ashok Mittal the deputy leader in Rajya Sabha. Ashok Mittal is AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab. Although it has not been made clear from AAP’s side as to what was the reason behind the removal of Raghav Chadha, it is being speculated that it could have been due to indiscipline and not following the party line. Raghav Chadha is being accused of giving statements different from the party line. Raghav Chadha was also left out of the party’s list of star campaigners for the Assam elections. From the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal and other party leaders in the Delhi liquor scam till their acquittal, Raghav Chadha did not take any special stand and questions were being raised about this.
