At the same time, there was rain and hailstorm in many areas of the west including Delhi. Due to this the temperature has also dropped significantly. The Meteorological Department says that another western disturbance is going to be active from April 7.

The Meteorological Department said that due to the current western disturbance, there was heavy snowfall in the high altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, hailstorm along with rain fell at many places in Delhi, Western UP, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department says that there will be rain, hailstorm and strong winds at many places in Jammu and Kashmir till April 9. Due to this, sudden floods may occur at some places and landslides may also occur. For Himachal Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has said that there is an orange alert of hailstorm and thunderstorm in many districts including the capital Shimla. Yellow alert has been issued in other areas of Himachal Pradesh. Here too the weather is expected to remain similar till April 9.

The Meteorological Department has said that the maximum rainfall of 11 mm was recorded in Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan. Due to western disturbance, there has been heavy hailstorm at many places. The Meteorological Department says that due to another western disturbance, further rain and hailstorm may be seen in many areas of Rajasthan. This time in the month of April also western disturbances are coming continuously. Whereas, generally western disturbances are visible only till mid-March. Farmers growing wheat suffer huge losses due to rain and hailstorm caused by western disturbances. This time too, farmers have suffered huge losses due to hailstorm and unseasonal rains. After another western disturbance, there is a possibility of intense heat across the country. This will happen due to El-Nino effect.
