Blast at nitrogen gas warehouse in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, 4 people killed, 4 injured undergoing treatment in hospital
New Delhi. A major accident has occurred today in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Here, a massive explosion occurred suddenly during refilling of cylinders in a nitrogen and oxygen gas warehouse located on Demani Road near Selwas. Eight people were injured in this incident, who were immediately taken to the hospital. Later, four injured died during treatment, while the treatment of other injured is still going on. The explosion was so powerful that its sound was heard far away. Due to the blast, a part of the warehouse collapsed and debris spread across the road.

According to the information, the work of filling gas in nitrogen cylinders was going on in the gas warehouse on Saturday morning, during which a cylinder exploded. The sound of the explosion was heard up to about 30 meters away. The explosion was so powerful that the nearby houses and even the windows and doors in them shook. People felt as if an earthquake had occurred. Later, when information about this accident came, people got scared. As soon as information about the incident was received, police and administration officials reached the spot and started relief work.

The fire brigade team also reached the spot and started the work of evacuating the trapped people. The injured were sent to the nearby hospital via ambulance. Officials have confirmed the death of 4 people. The warehouse manager is also included among the dead. The administration has ordered an impartial investigation into this incident. It is being ascertained whether the safety standards were met during cylinder refilling or whether there was negligence regarding them due to which such a big accident occurred. At present, the situation regarding this will be clear only after investigation.
