Young Mens Christian Association YMCA organized an Easter pageant in Delhi depicting the life of Jesus Christ through drama


New Delhi. Easter Pageant program was organized by Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) in Delhi. This is a deeply moving drama of Passion week. Which is presented with reverence and grandeur. The Easter Pageant event titled ‘The Mighty Acts of God’ on April 3, 2026 dramatized the divine story from the creation of the world to the birth, teachings, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. Easter Pageant is being organized by New Delhi YMCA since 1967. This year was the 59th presentation of this spiritual and artistic festival.

This spectacular 90-minute program was completed successfully with the help of light and sound at the YMCA Tourist Hostel located on Jai Singh Road in Delhi. The pageant uses a variety of scenery, music, instruments and lights to present Biblical events. More than 125 people, including cast, crew, backstage technicians, make-up artists and support staff, as well as production people, have been working hard and practicing for the past several days to organize this event on a grand scale and bring the story of Jesus Christ to life.

In this sequence, a program titled ‘Great Works of God’ was organized in Hindi on Saturday, April 4. New Delhi YMCA members along with their families and friends come to watch the live show of Easter Pageant. Every day around 400 people come to watch this program. Established in the year 1927, New Delhi YMCA plays an important role in uniting youth and empowering communities through its various programs. The YMCA remains steadfast in its mission to build a society that upholds human dignity, compassion and social responsibility.
