New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participated in the Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan organized in Delhi. During this, the Prime Minister highlighted the important contribution of women from the freedom struggle to the Constituent Assembly and top positions. Modi has described the Nari Shakti Vandan Act as one of the biggest decisions of the 21st century. PM said, I am saying with great responsibility that this is one of the important decisions of the 21st century. This decision is dedicated to women power, dedicated to worshiping women power. The Parliament of our country is close to creating a new history. A new history which will realize the concepts of the past, which will fulfill the resolutions of the future.

Modi said, everyone was feeling the need to give reservation to women in the democratic structure for decades. Almost 4 decades have passed since this discussion. It involves the efforts of all parties and many generations. Every party has taken this idea forward in its own way. Even when the Nari Shakti Vandan Act came in 2023, all the parties had got it passed unanimously. Then it was also raised unanimously that it should be implemented by 2029 under any circumstances. Especially, all our opposition colleagues had vocally insisted that it should be implemented in 2029.

The Prime Minister said, the time for the end of decades of wait from the state assemblies to the country’s Parliament is 16, 17, 18 April. In the new Parliament in 2023, we took the first step in the form of Narishakti Vandan Act. So that it can be implemented on time, women’s participation can strengthen our democracy, for this, a special meeting of the budget session of the Parliament is going to be organized from 16th April and before that today, this program of Narishakti Vandan, through this we are getting the blessings of millions of mothers and sisters of the country.
