New Delhi. There is big news about Nirav Modi, the main accused in PNB scam. According to the information, the fugitive diamond trader will soon be brought to India. For this the CBI team is in London. The CBI team is completing all the formalities related to the extradition of Nirav Modi to India. Nirav Modi is accused of fraud of around Rs 6400 crore from PNB. Nirav Modi had fled to London after the PNB scam. Nirav Modi was arrested by London Metropolitan Police in the year 2019 on the Red Corner Notice of CBI.

Nirav Modi’s extradition has been approved by all the courts of Britain. Nirav Modi made appeals one after another to stop extradition to India, but all the courts rejected the appeals of the PNB scam accused. Now Nirav Modi is expected to be brought to India in the next few weeks. Nirav Modi last challenged the extradition order in the King’s Bench Division in London. He asked the court to reopen his case, but the London court rejected Nirav Modi’s appeal saying that there is no extraordinary ground in the petition to reopen the case.

Nirav Modi has also filed applications in the European Court of Human Rights and France to stop his extradition to India. These will also be heard this month. India has provided information related to Nirav Modi’s crimes in both the courts. In such a situation, Nirav Modi will now have to come to India and face the law. Nirav Modi’s properties have already been confiscated and auctioned. Due to which the dues of the banks have been cleared, but despite this, Nirav Modi, who embezzled Rs 6400 crore through scam, will have to appear in the court under the law. Nirav Modi’s maternal uncle Mehul Choksi is also an accused in the PNB scam. Mehul Choksi is currently in jail in Belgium. His extradition case is going on from there.
