PM Narendra Modi On Nari Shakti Vandan Bill In Lok Sabha: Nari Shakti never forgave those who oppose women’s rights, PM Modi warned the opposition
New Delhi. During the discussion in the Lok Sabha on the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the women of the country have never forgiven those who opposed women’s rights. They have had to suffer the consequences. Ever since there was a discussion on women’s reservation in our country and after that, whenever there have been elections, women have not forgiven anyone who has opposed this right to women. This did not happen in the 2024 elections, this did not happen because then everyone unanimously passed the Women’s Reservation Bill, so this topic did not remain. Modi said that if we all move forward together, then this decision will not be in favor of any one political party, but in favor of the democracy of the country.

Modi said, India is moving forward in the 21st century with new confidence. Today we all can feel the increasing acceptance of India in the world and this is a moment of pride for all of us. A time has come to us and we have linked this time with the resolve of ‘Developed India’. I believe that ‘developed India’ does not just mean good railways, roads, infrastructure or some economic indicators. Our vision is not so limited. We want a ‘developed India’ whose policy formulation should include the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. It is the need of the hour that 50 percent of the country’s population should be a part of policy making.

Modi said, there come some important moments in the life of the nation and the state of mind of the society at that time and the ability of leadership capture that moment and make it the treasure of a nation, it creates a strong heritage. I think these are similar moments in the history of India’s parliamentary democracy. The need was that ever since the idea came up 25-30 years ago, the need was felt, we would have implemented it and today we have taken it to a lot of maturity and as per the need, there are improvements in it from time to time and this is the specialty of democracy. We are the Mother of Democracy, we have had a development journey of democracy for thousands of years and all our colleagues in the House have got an auspicious opportunity to add a new dimension to that development journey.
