PM Narendra Modi’s Address To Nation: Congress and its allies made honest efforts to commit feticide, PM Narendra Modi lashed out at those opposing the Women’s Reservation Bill

New Delhi. A day after the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill related to women’s reservation was not passed by the Lok Sabha, PM Narendra Modi today addressed the nation in which he spoke in detail on the issue. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly targeted Congress, SP, DMK and TMC who were opposing women’s reservation. PM said, yesterday we did not have the numbers but it does not mean that we lost. There will be more opportunities in the future, we have to fulfill our resolve to provide rights to half of the country’s population. We will ensure that women power gets its rights. Our courage is high, our courage is unwavering and our resolve is also firm. Just waiting for time.

A woman forgets everything, never forgets her insult.

Modi said, yesterday crores of women of the country had their eyes on the Parliament. The women power of the country was watching. I was also very sad to see that when the women’s welfare proposal was dropped, family based parties like Congress, DMK, TMC and SP were clapping. They were thumping the table happily. What they did was not just a slap on the table, it was an attack on a woman’s self-respect. A woman forgets everything, never forgets her insult. The harshness of the behavior of Congress and its allies in Parliament will always remain in the mind of every woman of the country. I will bluntly say to those who opposed the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill in Parliament tomorrow that these people are taking Nari Shakti for granted. They are forgetting that the woman of the 21st century is keeping an eye on every incident and knows the truth very well. The opposition will definitely be punished for the sins they have committed on women’s reservation.

PM said, Nari Shakti Vandan amendment in the House was not meant to snatch anything from anyone. Nari Shakti Vandan Amendment was an amendment to give something to everyone. This was an amendment to give women’s rights which had been pending for 40 years, from the 2029 elections. This was a great yagya to give new opportunities, new flight to women and remove obstacles from her path. It was a sincere effort to give rights to half of the country’s population. Nari Shakti Vandan Amendment is the need of the hour. This was an attempt to equally increase the power of all the states, North, South, East and West. This was an attempt to give more power to the voices of all states in Parliament. But this honest effort has been aborted by the Congress and its allies in the House in front of the entire nation. Parties like Congress, TMC, SP and DMK are responsible for foeticide, they are criminals of the Constitution, they are criminals of women power. Congress has always put obstacles in the way of women’s reservation. This time too, Congress and its allies resorted to new lies one after the other to stop women’s reservation. The opposition tried to mislead the country. These parties have removed their mask in front of women power and revealed their real face.

Congress lost the opportunity to create history: Modi

Modi further said, I personally hoped that Congress would correct its decades-old mistake but Congress lost the opportunity to create history. Today Congress is dependent on regional parties but Congress does not want regional parties to grow, hence by making regional parties oppose this bill, Congress has pushed their future into darkness. They have been robbing women’s rights all the time. A major reason for opposing the Nari Shakti Vandan Act is the fear of these family based parties. They fear that if women become powerful, their future will be in danger. There is a feeling of insecurity among the family members. After delimitation, there will be more seats for women and the stature of women will increase, hence these people opposed this bill. Congress and its allies are continuously lying on the delimitation issue and on this pretext they want to stoke the fire of division. Congress has inherited this principle of divide and rule from the British and is still following the same principle. The lie was spread that some states would be harmed by delimitation, whereas the government made it clear that the seats of all states would increase in equal proportion. Still the opposition was not ready to accept it. This amendment bill was an opportunity for all parties and states. But because of their selfish politics, these parties also betrayed the people of their state. Like DMK had a chance to make more people MPs and MLAs but it did not do so. TMC could also do this. Women will not forget that SP is anti-women’s reservation. Congress has once again proved one thing that it is an anti-reform party.

To delay, divert, hinder, this is the principle and work culture of Congress.

Taking aim at the Prime Minister, he said, this is the same Congress which opposed Jan Dhan Aadhaar, Mobile, Stree Shakti, Digital Payments. Congress opposed the law against triple talaq. Congress also opposed the UCC bill. As soon as Congress hears the name of reform, it runs with a protest placard. Congress puts all its strength against any work that strengthens the country. Be it SIR, One Nation One Election, sending out infiltrators, Congress opposes all these. History is witness to the fact that Congress always chose the negative path. Congress keeps important decisions for the country under the carpet. That is why India could not reach the heights it deserves. To delay, divert, hinder, this has been the principle and work culture of Congress. This attitude of Congress has always caused huge loss to the country. This fight is not just about a law, this fight is against the anti-reform mentality of the Congress in which there is only negativity and I have no doubt that the women and daughters of the country will give a befitting reply to the Congress. Some people are calling it the failure of the government but this issue was not about credit at all. I had said in the Parliament that let women get their rights, I will get the ad printed and give them credit.
