Supreme Court Furious On PIL: ‘Entry will be closed…No PIL of this person should be registered’, Supreme Court enraged after seeing the demand regarding Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose
New Delhi. The Supreme Court on Monday became enraged after seeing a Public Interest Litigation (PIA). In this PIL, a demand was made regarding Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and his Azad Hind Fauj. Similar petitions in this regard were being filed continuously in the Supreme Court. This petition was filed by a person named Pinakpani Mohanty. The PIL demanded that Subhash Chandra Bose be declared the main hero of India’s independence.

The bench of CJI Surya Kant and Justice Jaimalya Bagchi said on the petition that this is a way to get publicity. The bench said that the petitioner had earlier filed a petition with the same demand and the same had been rejected. Despite this, petitions with the same demands are being filed again and again. While warning the petitioner Pinakpani Mohanty who appeared in the court, the Supreme Court bench also warned him of stopping his entry in the court. The bench also warned Mohanty not to misuse the legal process. The bench directed the Supreme Court Registry not to accept any PIL of the petitioner in future.

Pinakpani, who filed the petition, had demanded that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose be officially declared the son of the nation. Besides, it was also demanded in the petition that 21 October should be declared as Azad Hind Foundation Day and 23 January, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, should be declared as National Day. The Supreme Court took note of the petition and said that continuously filing petitions with such demands is a waste of the Supreme Court’s time. Pinakpani had also filed a PIL in the Supreme Court in the year 2024 with the same demands. Even at that time the petition was rejected.
