New Delhi. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has claimed that Trinamool Congress is going to form the government in the state once again. Expressing confidence of getting absolute majority, CM Mamata said that her party TMC will win more than 226 seats this time. Raising questions on exit polls, Mamata Banerjee said, we are forming a government of Maa, Mati and Manush. Mamta Banerjee has posted a video of hers on Instagram in which she has thanked the people of Bengal for the bumper voting and thanked the TMC workers. Besides targeting the Election Commission and the Central Government, serious allegations of irregularities in the election process have also been made.

It is noteworthy that this time assembly elections have been held in Bengal in two phases. Voters have created a record of voting in both the phases. In the first phase, voting was held for 152 assembly seats on April 23, while in the second phase, voting for 142 seats took place yesterday i.e. on April 29. Various exit polls released after the completion of the voting process have predicted the formation of BJP government in Bengal this time. According to P-Marq exit poll, BJP may get 150 to 175 seats.

Similarly, Matriz, Poll Diary and Chanakya Strategies exit polls have also predicted BJP’s victory. People’s Pulse is the only poll in which the chances of TMC’s victory have been predicted. According to People’s Pulse, TMC is seen getting 117 to 187 votes this time. In this poll, BJP has been estimated to get 95 to 110 seats. At present, the counting of votes will take place on May 4 and on the same day it will be known how much truth is there in the exit poll estimates and which party the people of Bengal have handed over power to.
