CM Rekha Gupta’s Ultimatum To Delhi’s Private Schools: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s ultimatum to all the private schools of Delhi, instructions issued in the interest of parents

New Delhi. Private schools of Delhi will no longer be able to pressurize parents to buy children’s books, uniforms and other stationery etc. from any particular shop. Taking cognizance of the problems of the parents, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has issued instructions giving an ultimatum to all the private schools. The Chief Minister has said in very clear words that schools will have to tell in writing that parents can buy uniforms, books and stationery for their children from anywhere. CM said to ensure this, this is not a joke, strict action will be taken against any school found wrong and the government can also take it over.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta warned, saying, I can go to inspect any private school in Delhi. Every school has to give in writing on its notice board, on its website or if it has its own store from where it distributes books, that parents can buy books and uniforms from wherever they want. There will be no compulsion for parents to buy books and uniforms only from the shopkeeper recommended by the school. If you want to tell something, you can give it in writing.

CM has advised the schools that for the convenience of the parents, they can give references of five or six shops, but no pressure will be put on any parent to buy the goods only from the store recommended by them. CM said that people have written to me asking which school I should visit next. I will go to all those places where trouble is happening. It is my responsibility to fix Delhi. My Delhi is my responsibility. Along with this, the CM has asked people to keep sending me their suggestions.
