FIR On Sandeep Pathak: Two FIRs registered in Punjab against MP Sandeep Pathak who switched from Aam Aadmi Party to BJP, arrest also possible

New Delhi. Recently, seven MPs of Aam Aadmi Party had joined BJP. It is reported that FIRs have been registered against one of these MPs, Sandeep Pathak, in two different districts of Punjab. According to media reports, non-bailable sections have been imposed in both the FIRs. In such a situation, Punjab Police can also arrest Sandeep Pathak. Till the time of writing the news, Punjab Police has not made public the reasons for the FIR against Sandeep Pathak. Punjab Police says the investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, BJP MP and former cricketer Harbhajan Singh had accused the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab of removing his security. Harbhajan Singh also approached Punjab and Haryana High Court in this matter. The High Court has asked the Punjab government to ensure the safety of Harbhajan Singh and his family. After the Punjab Government ended the security of Harbhajan Singh, the Central Government had given security to the former cricketer. Now the FIR against Sandeep Pathak is likely to heat up the politics of Punjab as well as the country. Aam Aadmi Party has already made strong allegations against these seven MPs who have joined BJP.

This whole matter started after the removal of Raghav Chadha from the post of Deputy Leader of Aam Aadmi Party in Rajya Sabha. Raghav Chadha and Aam Aadmi Party fiercely targeted each other. After that, suddenly Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak, Harbhajan Singh, Ashok Mittal, Swati Maliwal, Vikram Sahni and Rajinder Gupta joined BJP. Rajya Sabha Chairman accepted all of them to join BJP. Whereas, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has filed an application to cancel the membership of rebel MPs. Overall, the matter of MPs going from Aam Aadmi Party to BJP does not seem to be calming down at the moment.
