The Chief Minister said that the state government stands with full sensitivity and determination with the martyred families. His courage, dedication and sacrifice will always be remembered. IG Bastar P Sundarraj said that in the year 2025 and 2026, a large number of Naxalites in Bastar division have left the path of violence and come forward for rehabilitation. Based on the information given by them and available to the police, security forces are continuously recovering IEDs, weapons, ammunition, hand grenades and other material from the hideouts of Naxalites. In this connection, today our team reached a Naxalite hideout located in the forest area on the border of Narayanpur and Kanker districts.

According to the IG, during today’s operation a large quantity of explosive material previously hidden by the Naxalites was recovered. At another place, an IED exploded while neutralizing a landmine laid by Naxalites. Unfortunately we lost four of our comrades in this incident. Our efforts to detect and defuse landmines will continue so that the public security forces deployed in the area are not harmed by the blast and operations continue as normal, but further action will be taken with utmost caution.
