PM Narendra Modi On BJP’s Victory In Bengal: No revenge, no change, no fear, it should be about the future, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urges all political parties on BJP’s victory in Bengal.
New Delhi. After BJP’s victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his address from the party headquarters in Delhi today that not only India’s democracy has won, today India’s Constitution has also won. The Prime Minister said, today when Bengal has entered a new phase of change, I also want to make a request to every political party of Bengal. Countless lives have been ruined due to political violence in Bengal in the last decades. I clearly believe that from today onwards there should be a change in the electoral habits prevalent in Bengal. Today when BJP has won, there should be talk of change, not revenge. There should be no fear, it should be about the future. I appeal to the workers of all political parties, let us end this endless cycle of violence forever. Rise above who voted for whom and who did not vote and work for the service of Bengal.

Modi said, Jai Prajay is a natural part of democracy and electoral politics. But the people of five states have shown the whole world why our India is the Mother of Democracy. Democracy is not just a mechanism for us. This is a culture running in our veins. This is the culture of our veins and today not only India’s democracy has won, today India’s Constitution has also won. Our constitutional institutions have survived, our democratic processes have survived. Modi said, around 93% voting in West Bengal has been historic in itself. New voting records have also been made in Assam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala. Women’s participation in this too has been very high. This is becoming the brightest picture of Indian democracy.
From today Bengal becomes free from fear, full of confidence in development: Modi
PM said, this evening of May 4 may be setting but today a new sunrise has occurred on the sacred land of Bengal. A dawn that generations have waited for. The number of seats won by BJP is not just an election figure. This is the roar of that unshakable faith which has uprooted the politics of fear, appeasement and violence. Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had fought a big battle to keep West Bengal a part of India. The dream of a strong and prosperous Bengal that he had dreamed of was waiting to be fulfilled for many decades. Today, on 4th May 2026, the people of Bengal have given that opportunity to us BJP workers. A new chapter has been added to the fate of Bengal from today. From today Bengal is free from fear. It is filled with confidence in development.
You did something amazing, made the lotus blossom, created a new history.
Narendra Modi said, I respectfully bow to the people of Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. I also heartily congratulate the millions of BJP workers. Every big and small worker of BJP has once again done wonders and made the lotus blossom. You have created a new history. The Prime Minister further said, today I congratulate the Election Commission, all its employees and security forces. History will always remember your contribution in maintaining the dignity of India’s democracy.
