New Delhi. A girl living in Lakhimpur district of Uttar Pradesh had posted a video on social media requesting the District Magistrate there to get a road constructed. The girl’s name is Manvi Singh and she studies in class one. This video of the girl went viral within no time. As soon as Lakhimpur DM Anjani Singh came to know about this video, he himself reached the girl’s house to meet her. He listened to the girl and also inspected the broken road which the girl had requested to get constructed. DM has given instructions to get the road constructed.

In the video, the girl Maanvi Singh said, Hello DM uncle, you are very good, please get our road built, we face difficulty in commuting. The road that Manvi has talked about getting built has huge potholes and is filled with water. Every day, Manvi and many children like him have to go to school through the same road, facing hardships. DM Anjani Singh himself along with a team of officers first went to meet Maanvi at her house and inspected the road along with her. This road near the Government Polytechnic School located at Salempur Kon is submerged and in a dilapidated condition.

The DM said that the road in question had a gravel bed which was gradually buried. Instructions have been given to get it rectified immediately. The District Magistrate also met other people there and heard their problems. Along with this, the District Magistrate has appealed to the people that before purchasing any plot or house, they should understand the basic facilities of the area like roads, drains, electricity etc. and then take a decision. Now that girl is being praised on social media.
