UP Government Cabinet Expansion Tomorrow! : Cabinet expansion of UP government likely to happen tomorrow, these 6 MLAs can be sworn in as ministers.

New Delhi. Discussions are going on for the last few days regarding the cabinet expansion of Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh. Now there is a possibility that cabinet expansion may take place in UP tomorrow i.e. on 10th May. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, returning from Bengal, met Governor Anandiben Patel this evening and it is believed that cabinet expansion was discussed between them. It is believed that tomorrow 6 MLAs will be sworn in as ministers and in this way the total number of ministers in the Yogi government will reach 60. Names of possible ministers have also been revealed.

According to sources, Bhupendra Chaudhary, Krishna Paswan, Pooja Pal, Manoj Pandey, Ashok Kataria and Romi Sahni can be included in the cabinet. In this, Bhupendra Chaudhary and Ashok Kataria have already been ministers in the Yogi government. Krishna Paswan is the MLA from Khaga Assembly of Fatehpur. Before becoming an MLA, she had worked as an Anganwadi worker. She has also handled the responsibility of District Panchayat. Whereas Pooja Pal and Manoj Pandey have been rebel MLAs of SP. During the 2024 Rajya Sabha elections, both of them went against SP and cross-voted in favor of BJP, after which both of them were expelled by SP.

Romi Sahni is the MLA from Palia seat of Lakhimpur Kheri district and is very popular among the public. Let us tell you that at present there are 54 ministers in the Uttar Pradesh government, out of which 21 are cabinet ministers, 14 are ministers of state with independent charge and 19 are ministers of state. According to the total 403 seats of the Assembly, the maximum number of ministers in the state government can be 60. In such a situation, the government still has vacancies for 6 ministers. Assembly elections are to be held in the state next year in 2027. Before that, in the cabinet expansion, the government will try to solve regional and caste equations.
