MP High Court Declares Dhar Bhojshala As Temple: High Court considers Dhar Bhojshala as a temple, big victory for Hindu side, what will Muslim side do now?
New Delhi. In the Dhar Bhojshala dispute case of Madhya Pradesh, the Indore bench of the High Court, while giving its verdict today, has considered it as a Hindu temple. Along with this, the court has also given permission for worship of Hindus. In its decision, the High Court bench took into consideration the survey and report of ASI and said that Bhojshala is a protected building and it should be protected. Along with this, the court has told the Muslim side that they can apply to the government demanding a separate place for the mosque. The court also said that the land of the mosque should be at such a place that there would be no dispute between Hindus and Muslims.

This decision of the High Court is a big victory for the Hindu parties. The High Court completed its final hearing on this matter on May 12 and reserved its decision. The Muslim side will challenge this decision in the Supreme Court. Qazi Waqar Sadiq of Dhar city said, we will review the decision given against us and then challenge it in the Supreme Court. On the other hand, in view of the decision, security arrangements had already been increased around Dhar Bhojshala. After the decision, police and administrative officials are on high alert in view of the sensitivity of the matter. Let us tell you that people from both Hindu and Muslim sides claim Dhar Bhojshala. According to Hindu organizations, this is an ancient temple of Maa Vagdevi, which was built in 1034 by Raja Bhoj for the study of Sanskrit. Whereas the Muslim side calls it Kamal Maulana Masjid.

While hearing this case, the High Court had ordered the ASI to survey the Bhojshala. ASI started the survey of Bhojshala on 22 March 2024. After an intensive survey lasting 98 days, ASI prepared a detailed report of 2000 pages and presented it in the court on 15 July 2024. During the survey, ASI had found idols of Maa Vagdevi, Maa Parvati, Bajrang Bali and Lord Ganesha in a closed room under the stairs.
