During this, during a press conference, he discussed many important topics including America’s war, Hormuz Strait, India’s cooperation in Iran’s difficult times. Araghchi said that my country Iran has become the victim of an unprovoked aggression carried out by the US and Israeli regime. This happened just when we were negotiating with the Americans. In the midst of diplomacy they attacked us. We appreciate all the countries that condemned this attack. We appreciate the Government and people of India for expressing their solidarity and sympathy with the Iranian people. We also appreciate the humanitarian assistance provided to us by the Government of India as a sign of solidarity.

The Iranian Foreign Minister said that regarding the Strait of Hormuz, we want it to be completely reopened. As far as we are concerned, the Strait of Hormuz is open and all ships can pass, except ships of countries that are at war with us and fighting against us. Ships that want to pass should obviously coordinate with our forces as there are barriers present, so we will help them pass safely, as we have done for many Indian ships. We have helped them cross safely.

Araghchi said, the safe passage of all ships is our policy and in our interest and we are ready to help those wishing to pass safely. This is our policy. Also, there is a blockade by the US. There is insecurity in the region due to US aggression so clearly, the situation is not the same as before. But once the aggression ends, I am sure everything will return to normal. We will work with Oman to arrange safe passage of all ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
