Jahangir Khan Declare Not To Contest In Falta: This Pushpa bowed down!, TMC candidate from Falta seat of West Bengal Jahangir Khan announced to distance himself from the elections.

Fruiting. During the West Bengal Assembly elections, TMC candidate Jahangir Khan, who contested from Phalta Assembly seat, had claimed not to bow down by calling himself ‘Pushpa’. After the formation of BJP government in West Bengal and seeing the plight of TMC, now Jahangir Khan’s Pushpa attitude has ended. Jahangir Khan said on Tuesday that he is keeping distance from contesting elections in Phalta. Jahangir said that he is the son of Phalata and wants peace and development. TMC candidate said that CM Shubhendu Adhikari has announced to give a special package for Phalta. Because of which he is keeping distance from the elections.

Voting on Phalta seat was held on 29 April. During which the Election Commission had received complaints of various irregularities. After their investigation, the Election Commission had canceled the election on Phalta Assembly seat. After which the Election Commission announced to hold voting here on May 21. The last date for election campaign in Phalta was kept as 19th May. Here, West Bengal BJP President Shamik Bhattacharya and CM Shubhendu Adhikari held public meetings and road shows, but neither Jahangir Khan held any public meeting nor any TMC leader came to campaign in his favor. Even Shubhendu Adhikari had asked in his public meeting in Phalta, where has Pushpa gone? Shamik Bhattacharya had also raised questions about TMC not campaigning in Phalta. Now Jahangir Khan himself has said that he is staying away from contesting the elections.

Phalta Assembly constituency is in Diamond Harbor from where Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of former West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, is the MP. BJP has been continuously alleging that TMC people threaten voters and create irregularities in voting in Phalta and Diamond Harbour. Abhishek Banerjee had also said in a public meeting that he will show what the Diamond Harbor Model is. However, Abhishek Banerjee failed to turn his challenge into reality. TMC, which ran the government in West Bengal for 15 years, lost the assembly elections badly and for the first time BJP formed the government there by winning more than 200 seats. Let us tell you that there are many complaints against Jahangir Khan and earlier, Police Observer of Election Commission and IPS Ajay Pal Sharma, known as Singham of UP, had reached Jahangir’s house and warned that if voters are intimidated, he will take strict action. After this warning of Ajay Pal Sharma, Jahangir challenged him not to bow down by calling himself ‘Pushpa’.
