Modi said, Cyprus is one of the top 10 investors of India. Investments from Cyprus to India have almost doubled in the last decade. Trust has increased between the two countries. Many new possibilities have been created by the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement. Leveraging this, we are aiming to double this investment again in the next five years and to realize this resolve, today we are expanding our trusted relationship into a strategic partnership.

Prime Minister Modi said, President Christodoulides welcomed us very warmly in Cyprus last year. Showing special respect for India, you honored me with the highest honor of Cyprus. We deeply felt your special attachment towards India throughout the tour. Your visit to India today is the next important milestone in our common journey.
