Marco Rubio India Visit: Deep and personal relationship between Modi and Trump, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in Delhi

New Delhi. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio unveiled the US Consulate office in Delhi. While speaking in the program, Rubio said, there is a deep and personal relationship between US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This relationship has been going on since Trump’s first term, when the President got a chance to visit India. This relationship continues even in Trump’s second term and you can clearly see the connection between Modi and Trump. I think this is extremely important. In fact, the connection between leaders is extremely important. Both of them are very serious leaders who focus not only on short-term but also long-term goals. I think it’s important to note this because it’s an important part of the foundation of the relationship between our countries.

“Just in the past year, we have seen the partnership between Trump and Modi deepen in ways that don’t often make headlines or sensationalize, but are important, real, solid and enduring,” Rubio said. We have expanded trade relations. We have further strengthened our security partnership through military exercises in the Indo-Pacific region. We are introducing a new ‘America First’ visa scheduling tool that prioritizes business professionals who strengthen these relationships. But this facility is not only for those applying for visa. This also applies to the Americans who work here. For the men and women who serve on the front lines every day to advance America’s national interests and national security.

Rubio said, this building of the American Consulate office is not just a structure. I hope it symbolizes our commitment to this important relationship between the United States and India. This relationship between our two countries is the cornerstone of our approach to the Indo-Pacific region. Whereas US Ambassador Sergio Gore posted in Delhi said, India-US relations have a strong foundation and there are immense possibilities ahead. Strong America and strong India are essential for the world.
