New Delhi. CBSE has accepted the mistake in the evaluation and uploading of the copy of Physics exam of a student named Vedant Srivastava. CBSE has said that now after fresh evaluation, the marks obtained by Vedanta in Physics will be revised. CBSE has also assured that the case of other students who complained about getting less marks is also being looked into deeply. With this step of CBSE, there is hope of getting relief to the students who got low marks in 12th board exam and are demanding re-copy checking.

Joint Secretary (Co-ordination) of CBSE has sent the correct copy of his Physics to Vedanta through e-mail. The board has written that your correct copy of Physics is attached. Your exam result will be updated soon based on the new marks. The whole controversy started after the declaration of CBSE 12th exam results. CBSE has started On Screen Marking (OSM). Under this, digital evaluation of board exam copies is done. After the results were declared, many students alleged that they were given less marks. Vedanta was also included in these. Vedanta had applied for re-evaluation of its Physics copy of CBSE exam.

CBSE then sent the scan of the Physics copy to Vedanta. After which Vedanta alleged that this copy was not his. Vedanta raised the issue of handwriting in the English and Computer Science copies and different handwriting in the Physics copy. Vedanta had claimed that his family and teachers also recognized the different handwriting in the Physics copy. Vedanta said that the writing of his English and Computer Science copy is matching, but the writing of Physics copy is completely different. He had raised this issue on social media. After which CBSE came into action and investigated.
