Twisha Sharma Death Case: Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law Giribala Singh arrested by CBI after 7 hours of interrogation.
New Delhi. The CBI, which is investigating the death of the much talked about Twisha Sharma, has today taken a major action and arrested Giribala Singh. Giribala Singh is the mother-in-law of deceased Twisha Sharma and is also a retired judge. The CBI team today reached Giribala Singh’s house in Bhopal and interrogated him for about 7 hours. After this he was taken into custody. Giribala Singh is accused of destroying evidence and not helping in the investigation. The CBI has arrested Giribala Singh after the Madhya Pradesh High Court canceled his anticipatory bail plea.

The CBI team has now taken Giribala Singh to the hospital for medical examination. After that he will be presented in the court where CBI will ask for his remand. Twisha Sharma’s lawyer husband Samarth Singh had recently surrendered before the court after absconding for 10 days. The Supreme Court has also taken cognizance of the case of Twisha Sharma’s death. A bench of three judges headed by CJI Surya Kant has said that this is a serious matter and it is very important to reveal the real reason for the death of the girl.

It is noteworthy that model Twisha Sharma was found hanging dead in her in-laws house in Bhopal on June 12. Twisha’s maternal family has accused her in-laws of dowry harassment and murder. Whereas the in-laws say that Twisha was mentally disturbed and had committed suicide. After this, Twisha’s parents raised serious questions on the post-mortem conducted in Bhopal. After this, following the order of Madhya Pradesh High Court, a four-member team of specialist doctors from Delhi AIIMS (AIIMS) conducted the second post-mortem of Twisha’s body. Because of this entire process, Twisha’s last rites could be performed 12 days after her death.
