New Delhi. Party MP and Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee is in trouble after the defeat of Trinamool Congress in the Bengal Assembly elections. Banerjee, who had come to meet the victims of post-poll violence in Sonarpur, was attacked by local people. Eggs were thrown at him and attempts were made to assault him. During this his clothes also got torn. The security personnel made him wear a helmet and took him out of there with great difficulty. During this, people also raised slogans of ‘thief-thief’. Abhishek Banerjee has held BJP responsible for this incident. He said that this attack was a well-planned conspiracy to take his life.

Earlier, a team of CID reached Abhishek Banerjee’s house in Kolkata to give him notice. During this time the CID team remained present there for about one and a half hour. Abhishek Banerjee has been called for questioning at CID headquarters at Bhawani Bhawan on June 1 at 12 noon. A legal notice has been served to him in connection with the investigation into the assembly fake signature case. Shobhandev Chattopadhyay’s support was mentioned in a letter submitted to the Assembly Secretariat. The complaint received by the CID said that the signatures of TMC MLA Nayana Banerjee, which she had taken while taking the oath of office as MLA, did not match the signatures present on the letter. CID also wants to interrogate Abhishek Banerjee in the investigation of this case.

On the other hand, after receiving the notice, Abhishek Banerjee said that he should do whatever he wants to do. They can do whatever they want. Understand it this way, earlier there was only ED and CBI and now along with Bengal Police and Kolkata Police, KMC (Kolkata Municipal Corporation) is also involved. Earlier there were 2-3 investigating agencies and now there are 5. They think that they will send 5-6 agencies after me and intimidate me into submission. I am not that kind of person. Even if you cut my throat, you will have to think 10 times and take 7 births to make me bow down. I am not a traitor.
