LPG Price Hike: Once again the price of commercial and 5 kg LPG cylinder has increased, know how much it is available now?

New Delhi. The Iran crisis is still ongoing. As a result, the price of petroleum products is increasing day by day. The prices of petrol, diesel and CNG have increased several times. Now petroleum companies have once again increased the price of commercial and 5 kg LPG cylinders. The price of commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 42 and the rate of 5 kg cylinder has been increased by Rs 11.

After the latest increase, the price of commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has now become Rs 3113.50. Whereas, a small cylinder of 5 kg will now be available for Rs 821.50. Giving relief to the common people, petroleum companies have not increased the price of domestic LPG cylinders. However, due to increase in the price of commercial LPG cylinders, the price of things sold in hotels, restaurants, dhabas, sweet shops etc. is sure to increase. Due to this, the pockets of those who eat, drink and buy sweets and snacks are sure to become looser. Petroleum companies had increased the price of commercial cylinders by Rs 993 on May 1. At that time, the rate of 5 kg LPG cylinder was also increased by Rs 261.

The reason for the increase in the price of petroleum products is the inability of ships to pass through Hormuz. Due to tension between Iran and America, the movement of ships through Hormuz has been disrupted. Very few ships are coming through that route. Due to obstruction in the route of Hormuz, petroleum companies are having to buy crude oil from distant countries instead of nearby Gulf countries. The price of crude oil is high anyway and due to bringing it from far away, the cost of transportation has also increased. Due to this, petroleum companies are incurring huge losses. Efforts are being made to bridge this deficit by increasing the prices of LPG, petrol, diesel and CNG. If there is no peace between Iran and America, there is a possibility of further increase in the prices of petroleum products in the coming days.
