TMC Leaders Tilak Kumar Chakraborty And Paritosh Dutta Arrested: Two TMC leaders Tilak Kumar Chakraborty and Paritosh Dutta arrested, action taken in corruption and arms related cases.

New Delhi. The BJP government of Bengal has started taking action against the leaders of Trinamool Congress Party involved in corruption and other serious criminal cases. Bengal Police has arrested two TMC leaders in separate cases. TMC leader Tilak Kumar Chakraborty has been arrested in a case of fraud in the name of providing job in Haldia of East Medinipur district. The police took Tilak Kumar to Basulia Rural Hospital for medical treatment and now he will be produced in the court. Kolkata Police has arrested TMC leader Paritosh Dutta from Bardhaman in the arms case at Surendranath College. Kolkata Police Commissioner has confirmed this.

On the other hand, the sword of arrest is also hanging on Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and party MP Abhishek Banerjee. Two FIRs have also been registered against Mamata Banerjee herself. This arrest of TMC leaders happened at a time when the party is already on the verge of collapse and has divided into two factions. 60 out of 80 MLAs are abandoning Mamata Banerjee and supporting rebel leader Ritabrata Banerjee. Ritabrata Banerjee has also received approval to be elected Leader of Opposition in the Bengal Assembly. Mamata Banerjee had made Shobhandeb Chattopadhyay the leader of opposition in the assembly. But TMC leaders came out openly against his decision.

Under the leadership of Ritabrata Banerjee, 59 MLAs met the Assembly Speaker and claimed to be the real faction of TMC and requested to recognize Ritabrata Banerjee as the Leader of Opposition. The rebel TMC MLAs met the Governor and asked to make Ritabrata Banerjee the leader of the legislative party, Javed Khan, Sandipan Saha and Shiuli Saha as the deputy leaders of the party in the assembly and Akhruzzaman as the party chief whip.
