Mamata Banerjee Facing Political Crisis: Political crisis is deepening in front of Mamata Banerjee, Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim resigns.

New Delhi. The political crisis facing Mamata Banerjee is deepening. The command of his party TMC is slipping out of his hands. There is talk that 20 TMC MPs may leave Mamata Banerjee and join BJP. Meanwhile, TMC rebel faction leader Ritabrata Banerjee has given further fuel to these speculations. In response to the question asked about TMC MPs, Ritabrata Banerjee said that a lot can happen. However, he said that he has not talked to any MP in the last seven days, so I cannot say what the MPs will do. I live in the present. No one can say what will happen tomorrow. But wait, a lot can happen tomorrow.

On the other hand, Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim has resigned from his post. After resigning, Hakim said, I am grateful to our leader Mamata Banerjee. In December 2018, after the sudden resignation of former mayor Sovan Chatterjee, I was elected mayor by the councilors of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. I performed all my responsibilities honestly, now I am unable to perform this responsibility because I believe that the mayor’s chair is not just a chair, it is a responsibility and now I am not able to work like before.

Let us tell you that Mamata Banerjee had expelled MLA Ritabrata Banerjee from TMC but with the support of party MLAs, he has become the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly. He has the support of about 60 TMC MLAs and that is why the Assembly Speaker has approved his appointment. Ritabrata Banerjee had recently met the Assembly Speaker along with Mamata’s rebel MLAs and claimed to be the real TMC.
